This Tiger has a lot of tales!

Philosophy

All of us at Silver Tiger Films believe entertaining motion pictures begin with a compelling story.  No exceptions. An engaging movie can be funny, scary, silly, breath-takingly exciting, or all-of-the-above; but it must be built with characters and circumstances that we care about.  All about the story.

Do you have a story to tell?

Tell us YOUR tale.

A good script is maybe, kinda, sorta, important:

There’s nothing more important in making movies than the screenplay.
— Richard Attenborough
Screenwriting is the most prized of all the cinematic arts.  It isn’t, but it should be.
— Hugh Laurie
The script is what you’ve dreamed up – this is what it should be.  The film is what you end up with.
— George Lucas
Once you crack the script, everything else follows.
— Ridley Scott
Making movies is 80% script and 20% getting great actors.  There’s nothing else to it.
— William Wyler
There’s no question that a great script is absolutely essential, maybe the essential thing for a movie to succeed.
— Sydney Pollack
The script, I always believe, is the foundation of everything.
— Ewan McGregor

About the job, the endeavor, the task, and yes, the “craft” of screenwriting:

Being a good writer is 3% talent, 97% not being distracted by the internet.
— Unknown, yet sage individual
One of the big things you have to learn is who to listen to and when; and you can’t listen to everybody.
— Amy Holden Jones
It is better to write a bad first draft than to write no first draft at all.
— Will Shetterly
I love fantasy. I love horror. I love musicals. Whatever doesn’t happen in real life is what I’m interested in, as a way of commenting on everything that does happen in life, because ultimately the only thing I’m really interested in is people.
— Joss Whedon
Trust your own instinct. Your mistakes might as well be your own, instead of someone else’s.
— Billy Wilder
The easiest thing to do on earth is not to write
— William Goldman
I think about the audience in the sense that I serve as my own audience. I have to please myself that way, if I saw the movie in a theatre I would be pleased. Do I think about catering to an audience? No.
— Shane Black

…but grabbing a tiger by his tail…not recommended.
